Grafintec Oy aims at developing a full value chain to upgrade natural flake graphite inside of Europe.
The Graphite Anode Materials Plant („GAMP“) will be located in the finnish GigaVaasa area and include spheroidization, purification and coating of natural flake graphite to produce CSPG (coated, spherical, purified graphite) for use in lithium ion batteries. Natural flake graphite will be sourced from third parties, while the development of the company’s own graphite deposits in Finland is ongoing.
ANZAPLAN supports Grafintec with an extensive advanced metallurgical test work program for graphite purification and refinement into a battery ready product, electrochemical characterization of the product and a techno-economical evaluation of the refinement process
